Facilitated team debriefing in a modern workplace

Who we are

We are a clinically-led consultancy specialising in workplace trauma response—not a generic wellbeing programme or content library. Our work sits at the intersection of psychological safety, operational duty of care, and practical leadership support.

Organisations call on us when they need experienced practitioners who understand both the human impact of critical incidents and the realities of running distributed, high-stakes, or customer-facing teams. We work alongside HR, health and safety, and senior leaders to deliver support that is boundaried, trauma-informed, and appropriate to your environment.

Gareth Vaughan

Portrait of Gareth Vaughan

Gareth Vaughan is a BACP-accredited Counselling Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor with over 17 years of experience supporting individuals and organisations through traumatic incidents, crisis situations, and emotionally demanding circumstances. Based in West Wales, Gareth brings clinical expertise tailored to environments where psychological safety, rapid response, and compassionate intervention are paramount.

Specialist background in trauma and crisis

Gareth's career has been defined by working at the intersection of trauma, loss, and psychological crisis. His roles have included Specialist Suicide Bereavement Counsellor, trauma-focused Clinical Supervisor, and Family Support & Bereavement Services Manager. He has delivered frontline psychological therapy in NHS settings, and managed teams responsible for safeguarding, risk assessment, and welfare governance in some of the most emotionally challenging circumstances people face.

This experience has equipped Gareth with a nuanced understanding of how trauma impacts individuals and teams—not only in the immediate aftermath of critical incidents, but in the weeks and months that follow. He understands the cumulative effect of exposure to distressing material, the dynamics of vicarious trauma, and the organisational conditions that support or undermine psychological resilience.

What we do

From immediate debriefing to building your team's capacity—support at every level.

Incident response & debriefing

Full-day and half-day on-site support after critical and major incidents, plus remote options where needed. We create psychologically safe spaces for teams to process what has happened and stabilise before returning to work.

Leadership consultancy

Remote and on-site guidance for managers and senior leaders after an incident—helping you communicate appropriately, maintain containment, and support people through direct and indirect trauma impact.

Training & education

Accredited programmes from our 3-day CPD certification for qualified therapists to our 10-week foundation course for HR leaders, Mental Health First Aiders, and staff responsible for debriefing.

Our approach

  • Trauma-informed and boundaried Facilitation that respects psychological safety, role clarity, and what is—and is not—appropriate in a workplace debrief.
  • Contextual to your workplace Support shaped by your sector, sites, and culture—not a one-size-fits-all script.
  • Confidentiality by design Individual experiences stay private; organisational learning is shared at the right level of aggregation.
  • Capacity building, not dependency We equip your people with skills and confidence to respond well—while maintaining their own wellbeing.

Work with us

Whether you are responding to an incident now or building preparedness across your organisation, we can recommend a pathway that fits your context.
